Apple Reports 21% Increase in iPhone Sales for Q3 2026

Apple has recently announced impressive sales figures for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, revealing a remarkable 21.7% increase in iPhone sales compared to the same quarter last year. The company's revenue from iPhone sales reached approximately $54.25 billion (around Rp 979 trillion), marking a significant jump from the $44.58 billion reported during the same period in 2025.

Growth Across Other Product Lines

In addition to the strong performance of the iPhone, Apple has seen notable growth in other product segments. The Mac lineup, which includes MacBook and iMac, experienced a 28.7% year-on-year increase, with revenue hitting $10.35 billion (around Rp 186 trillion) compared to $8.04 billion (around Rp 145 trillion) in the previous year. This surge highlights Apple's continued dominance in the premium computer market.

Service Revenue Also Climbs

Apple's service sector, which encompasses offerings like iCloud and Apple Arcade, reported an increase of approximately 12.1% year-on-year. Revenue from services reached $30.73 billion (around Rp 494 trillion), up from $27.42 billion. This growth in services is a testament to Apple's successful strategy of diversifying its revenue streams beyond hardware sales.

Record Financial Performance

CEO Tim Cook expressed pride in the company's record-breaking performance for the quarter, noting that every geographic segment saw revenue growth. Total revenue for Apple during the period reached $109.4 billion (around Rp 1.974 quadrillion), reflecting a 16% year-on-year increase. The iPhone continues to be Apple's largest revenue contributor, accounting for nearly half of the company’s total sales, followed by services, Macs, wearables, and iPads.

Future Outlook and Challenges

Despite the robust quarterly results, Apple anticipates a more conservative revenue growth forecast of 9-11% for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, which ends in September. This projection is lower than Wall Street's expectation of around 12%. Cook attributed this cautious outlook to ongoing supply chain constraints, particularly in advanced chip manufacturing, which is impacting production capabilities.

Although demand for Apple products remains high, exceeding the company’s expectations, challenges in chip supply have created significant hurdles. Cook indicated that Apple is actively exploring alternative suppliers to ensure that production of the iPhone and other devices remains uninterrupted moving forward.
