Dell has recently made headlines with the announcement of its Googlebook, a device that is turning out to be more affordable than initially expected. Following the recent launch of the Googlebook, which occurred two weeks ago, new pricing details have emerged, and they are certainly noteworthy.
Pricing Surprises from Dell
Originally, Google announced that the starting price for the XPS Googlebook would be set at $1,199. However, Dell has confirmed that the actual starting price will be only $999, which is a reduction of $200 from Google's initial pricing. This news aligns with what Lenovo revealed about its own Googlebook, which also came in at a lower price.
Impressive Specifications
The Dell XPS Googlebook is not just about lower pricing; it also boasts impressive specifications that make it a compelling option for consumers. Powered by the new Snapdragon X Elite chip, this laptop comes with 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage, providing a solid performance for various tasks.
If you're looking for even more power, Dell offers a model equipped with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage at a price point of $1,799. These specifications make the Dell Googlebook a competitive choice in the market.
Stunning Display Features
In addition to its powerful internals, the XPS Googlebook features a stunning 2.5K InfinityEdge touch panel. This display provides 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy and a maximum brightness of 500 nits, ensuring vibrant visuals whether you're working or enjoying media. Furthermore, it supports a refresh rate between 30-120Hz, catering to a variety of usage scenarios.
Lightweight and Portable
Portability is another advantage of the Dell Googlebook. With a thickness of just 12.7mm and a weight of only 2.2 lbs, this laptop is among the thinnest and lightest options available in the first wave of Googlebook devices. This makes it an excellent choice for users who are always on the go and require a device that is easy to carry around.
For those interested in purchasing the Dell Googlebook, it is already available on Dell’s official website, as well as at the Google Store and Best Buy. The shipping is expected to begin as early as October 21, making it a timely option for anyone looking to upgrade their laptop.
With its combination of lower pricing and impressive specifications, the Dell XPS Googlebook is set to make a significant impact in the laptop market. Stay tuned for more updates and reviews as users get their hands on this exciting new device.
