Honor Launches MagicOS 11 with Enhanced AI and Design Features

At the recent Global Developer Conference, Honor unveiled its latest Android iteration, MagicOS 11. This new operating system showcases an elegant liquid glass design inspired by iOS, developed through Honor's unique Luminous and Hummingbird architectures. These frameworks are designed to enhance user interface dynamics, AI processing, and overall hardware performance.

Improved Performance and Aesthetic Changes

One of the standout features of MagicOS 11 is its promise of up to 20% faster system animations compared to its predecessor, MagicOS 10. Users will notice a refreshed aesthetic with updated icons, new menu layouts, and customizable tinting options for home screen icons and docks, allowing for a more personalized touch.

Enhanced Yoyo AI Assistant

Another significant addition is the revamped Yoyo AI assistant. This AI is now equipped to handle over 1,000 different scenarios and integrates with more than 10,000 third-party AI services, at least within China. Honor has indicated that the Yoyo AI can even perform complex tasks spanning up to 100 steps, showcasing its capability to streamline user interactions.

Storage Space 2.0 and File Sharing Improvements

MagicOS 11 introduces Storage Space 2.0, which features lossless compression for stored data, potentially freeing up to 60GB of valuable space on devices. Additionally, the new OS enhances file sharing capabilities, allowing for seamless connectivity with devices in the Apple ecosystem as well as those from other brands like Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi.

Availability and Supported Devices

The new MagicOS 11 will first be available on the forthcoming Honor Magic9 series smartphones. A public beta version is already accessible for over 18 devices, including the Magic8 series, Magic V6, and Honor 600 models. Furthermore, a second list of devices eligible for the internal beta includes the Magic6 series, Magic V3, along with the Honor 400 and 500 series. Additional devices are expected to join the lineup between October and November.
