Huawei MatePad Mini "Compact" Tablet Officially Launched in Indonesia
Huawei has just introduced their latest tablet, the Huawei MatePad Mini, officially launched in Indonesia on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Known as a premium device with a compact size, the MatePad Mini is designed to support user productivity while prioritizing comfort.
Compact and Ergonomic Design
At the launch event held in Jakarta, Edy Supartono, Senior Retail Manager of Huawei Device Indonesia, explained that this tablet has a very compact size. "MatePad Mini can easily fit into a man's pocket or a small bag for women," he revealed. This compact design makes the MatePad Mini very practical to carry anywhere, ideal for those with high mobility.
Immersive Display with Latest Technology
One of the standout features of the Huawei MatePad Mini is its display. The tablet is equipped with an 8.8-inch Flexible OLED panel with a screen-to-body ratio reaching 92 percent. Edy explained that the screen is designed to provide a deep and satisfying visual experience. With a bezel thickness of only 2.99 mm, users can enjoy a wider viewing area, making watching more enjoyable.
The tablet also offers various display modes, including an e-book mode that allows users to switch the screen to full color or black and white. There is also an eye comfort mode that filters blue light, helping reduce eye strain when using the device for extended periods.
Impressive Performance and Specifications
In terms of specifications, the Huawei MatePad Mini is equally impressive. The tablet is only 5.2 mm thick and weighs about 260 grams, making it one of the lightest tablets in its class. The Flexible OLED screen supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, 2.5K resolution, and a peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits, offering sharp and clear visuals.
For photography and video calls, the tablet is equipped with a 32 MP front camera, while the rear features a 50 MP main camera combined with an 8 MP ultrawide and macro camera. With this combination, users can produce high-quality photos and videos.
Software and Alternative Applications
The Huawei MatePad Mini runs HarmonyOS 4.3, designed to provide a smooth user experience. The tablet also comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, ensuring responsive performance and adequate storage capacity for various needs.
However, it is important to note that HarmonyOS does not support Google Mobile Services, such as Play Store, Gmail, and Google Maps. As a solution, Huawei has developed its own ecosystem through the App Gallery app store, where users can download various applications needed for daily use.
With all the features and specifications offered, the Huawei MatePad Mini presents an attractive option for those looking for a compact tablet with high performance. With an ergonomic design and stunning display, this tablet is ready to support various user activities, whether for work or leisure.
