Apple's latest iPhone models are on the verge of arriving in Indonesia. The iPhone 18 Pro Max and the iPhone Duo have received telecommunications certification from the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi).
Certification Details
As reported by detikINET on September 20, 2026, three Apple devices were granted certification on September 17, 2026. All these devices are registered under PT Apple Indonesia.
The models include A3717, A3714, and A3720, marketed as the iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone Duo respectively.
Two-Step Certification Process
Before acquiring the Postel certification, these devices had already passed the TKDN certification from the Ministry of Industry. Observations from detikINET on the government's TKDN page reveal that three mobile devices from PT Apple Indonesia received TKDN certificates with a local component level of 40%.
This indicates that the new Apple devices have successfully cleared two crucial certification stages required for telecommunications devices to be sold in Indonesia.
Understanding TKDN and Postel Certifications

Apple enthusiast Bagus Hernawan has suggested that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max could be available for purchase in Indonesia starting October 16, 2026. It is anticipated that these models will launch alongside the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5.
As for the iPhone Duo, the expected release date is likely between October 30 and November 2. Hernawan has also hinted at potential pricing for the new devices from the tech giant based in Cupertino.
