On September 19, 2026, Oppo and BABYMONSTER hosted a thrilling Global Fan Meet-Up at Ciputra Artpreneur in Jakarta. The event, themed "Mission: Find Planet Reno," invited fans, affectionately called Monsties, to engage and unleash their creativity with the Oppo Reno16 Series.
A Journey Through the Reno16 Universe
This unique event took attendees on an imaginative journey through the Reno16 Universe, where participants had to complete four exciting missions and gather Star Crystals scattered throughout their adventure. Jiang Linlin, CMO of Oppo Indonesia, emphasized that the Reno Series is designed to resonate with the youth's way of self-expression, and this experience aimed to elevate that connection.
Mission Breakdown: Fun and Creativity
The expedition to Planet Reno consisted of four distinct missions:
- Pop Cam Portal: Fans recreated various poses, memes, and trends using the Oppo Reno16 Series.
- Reno Orbit Relay: Participants played a game called "I'm Passing the Phone," where they guessed which BABYMONSTER member matched different prompts.
- Reno Star Spotlight: Here, fans showcased their best poses and choreography, with selected fans appearing on the event's main screen.
- Creator's Portal: Monsties created BABYMONSTER-themed content using features like AI Collage Remix and AI Motion Photo 2.0, sharing their creations on Instagram Stories. Selected works received praise from BABYMONSTER through the creation of Oppo Bubble Charms.
Completing the Adventure
After finishing all four missions, participants collected Star Crystals, culminating in the formation of a Planet Reno Orb, symbolizing their arrival at the ultimate destination. Besides the fun, the event also highlighted various features of the Oppo Reno16 Series.
For instance, the Pop Cam feature allows users to capture moments in a more playful manner, while AI Collage Remix and AI Popout 2.0 help in personalizing photos. Additionally, the Reno16 Series boasts a 50MP Ultra-Wide selfie camera, perfect for capturing group photos.
