Poco has officially unveiled the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra on September 1, 2026, marking their global launch. These models are the international counterparts of the previously released Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max from China, which debuted in August 2026.
Flagship Specifications with Global Adjustments
While the specifications of the Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra may differ slightly from their Chinese versions, they still boast flagship-grade hardware. The most notable change is the reduced battery capacity to comply with global standards, while the chipset, display, main camera, and audio system retain their premium quality.
Poco F9 Ultra: The Premium Choice
The Poco F9 Ultra stands out as the most advanced model in this release. It features a large 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2608 x 1200 pixels, a refresh rate of 185Hz, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, all protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the F9 Ultra offers configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. Additionally, it incorporates a dedicated VisionBoost D8 12nm graphics chip optimized for AI frame insertion and super-resolution processing.
Impressive Camera Capabilities
The camera setup on the Poco F9 Ultra is particularly impressive, featuring a triple rear camera system. This includes a 200 MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with up to 5x optical zoom, and a 5 MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, it has a 32 MP front camera.
Its power comes from an 8,050 mAh silicon-carbon battery, enhanced with a 16% higher silicon content. The battery supports 100W fast charging, 27W reverse wired charging, and 22.5W wireless charging, ensuring quick power-ups.
Poco F9 Pro: Compact Yet Powerful
On the other hand, the Poco F9 Pro offers a slightly smaller form factor with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, featuring a resolution of 2510 x 1156 pixels and the same 185Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits brightness, also protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.
This model runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V series chipset, which is designed to deliver performance similar to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 but with a slightly downgraded GPU. The Pro version comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
Camera-wise, the Poco F9 Pro includes a 200 MP main camera with OIS and a 32 MP front camera, along with a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. It is powered by a 6,330 mAh silicon-carbon battery, maintaining the 100W fast charging capability found in the Ultra variant.
Audio and Design Features
Both models come equipped with stereo speakers tuned by Bose, though the F9 Pro lacks a rear subwoofer found in the Ultra. The Poco F9 Pro is available in three colors: Black, White, and Aurora Green with a glow-in-the-dark back panel. In contrast, the F9 Ultra offers Black and Dark Cherry finishes with a glass fiber texture.
Both smartphones run on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and boast an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Notably, the Poco F9 Ultra features a small notification indicator light around the rear speaker.
Although the Poco F9 series is already available in several countries, the exact launch date in Indonesia remains uncertain. However, there is positive news for fans in the region.
The Poco F9 Pro (model number 2607APCA5G) and Poco F9 Ultra (26077PC53G) have received local certification for the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) from the Ministry of Industry, each with a score of 37.84%. They have also appeared in the e-Certification database of the Ministry of Communication and Digital.
This indicates that both devices meet the necessary regulatory requirements for sale in Indonesia, leaving only the official launch date to be announced. Meanwhile, potential buyers can look forward to the pricing of the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra in the global market.
