Samsung is gearing up to unveil the next generation of its Galaxy A series, starting with the entry-level Galaxy A08 4G. Signs of its impending arrival in Indonesia are becoming more apparent.

As reported by detikINET, the smartphone identified by the model number SM-A085F has received a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certification with a score of 37.50%. This certification is a significant milestone for the Galaxy A08 4G. However, it's worth noting that this model is yet to appear in the e-Certificate database of Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Digital, indicating that it requires one more approval before it can officially launch in the country.
International Recognition
The Galaxy A08 4G has also made an appearance in Brazil's telecommunications database (ANATEL). The model number SM-A085M/DS has been spotted, revealing some of its key specifications. Notably, the device is expected to feature an impressive battery capacity of 5,830 mAh, which is likely to be marketed as 6,000 mAh.
Enhanced Battery Capacity
This new battery design represents a 20% increase over the 5,000 mAh battery found in its predecessor, the Galaxy A07 4G, as referenced by GSM Arena. Additionally, sources indicate that the Galaxy A08 4G will support fast charging at 25W, enhancing user convenience.
Specifications and Features
According to the FCC certification, the Galaxy A08 4G will feature Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth (with LE), and robust 4G connectivity. Under the hood, it will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM, mirroring the specifications of its predecessor. The smartphone is set to run on Android 17, accompanied by One UI 9.0, and will receive six Android system updates, ensuring longevity and performance.
Rumors suggest that the Galaxy A08 4G could be officially revealed alongside the Galaxy A18 in October 2026. Meanwhile, Samsung is busy preparing for the upcoming launch of the Galaxy S26 FE, which is scheduled to be announced on August 27.
