Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Book6 lineup with the introduction of a new 14-inch model, designed to deliver performance and versatility for users. Priced at $800, this Windows 11 laptop (with an option for Linux) combines sleek design with robust functionality.
Display and Design
The Galaxy Book6 features a 14-inch LCD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The screen is equipped with an anti-glare coating and boasts a brightness of 350 nits, making it suitable for various lighting conditions. With a thickness of just 15.7mm and a weight of 1.35kg (approximately 2.98lbs), this laptop is lightweight and easy to carry.
Performance and Battery Life
Under the hood, users can choose between Intel’s Core 3 or Core 5 processors, ensuring a range of performance options to meet different needs. The base model comes with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 256GB SSD, while configurations can be upgraded to 16GB of RAM and storage options of 512GB or 1TB.
The Galaxy Book6 is powered by a 61.2Wh battery, promising up to 25 hours of usage on a single charge. Charging is facilitated through two USB-C ports, supporting up to 45W charging speeds. Additionally, the laptop includes a USB-A port, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack, ensuring ample connectivity.
Audio and Camera Features
For audio, the device is equipped with stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos, providing an immersive listening experience. The Galaxy Book6 also features a 2MP camera for video calls, along with dual microphones to enhance voice clarity during conversations. However, it should be noted that the keyboard does not come with backlighting.
Exclusive Samsung Features
Samsung has integrated several unique features into the Galaxy Book6, enhancing its usability with other Galaxy devices. Quick Share allows seamless file transfers between compatible devices, while Storage Share enables access to files without needing to transfer them first. Users can also take advantage of the Second Screen feature, which allows a Galaxy Tab to serve as an additional display for the laptop.

The Galaxy Book6 is available in a new color option, Violet Silver, alongside the classic Gray. In the UK, the laptop is already listed with limited configurations, and various options can be found across other European markets. In the US, it will be available starting October 5 through Samsung.com and Amazon.
