The possibility of the Nothing Phone 4b launch feels stronger considering Nothing recently announced the cancellation of plans to release the CMF Phone 2 Pro. This cancellation was due to a surge in memory and RAM prices, which made production costs uncontrollable. Akis Evangelidis, one of Nothing's founders, explained that if they launched the CMF Phone 2 Pro with the current specifications, the price could reach around Rs. 30,000 to 35,000 (approximately $317 to $370). Such a price would be beyond the target market segment the brand aims to reach.

Nevertheless, Nothing confirms they still plan to launch a new smartphone. The company has started teasing two upcoming products with code names inspired by Pokémon characters, namely “Jumpluff” and “Blastoise.” Renowned leaker Yogesh Brar also claims that the existing CMF smartphone project has been shifted to Nothing’s main brand. If this information is accurate, the Nothing Phone 4b could be the revived CMF project with a new identity.
