Introducing the Communities Feature

Content Control with 'Your Algo'
Another notable feature is Your Algo, an expansion of the previous 'Dear Algo' feature. With Your Algo, users can customize the types of content they want to see in their feed. Unlike Dear Algo, which required users to upload public posts, this feature allows private content adjustments without needing to upload anything.
Users can inform Threads about the content they want to see more or less of. Additionally, they can choose how long these settings apply, with three duration options: one, three, or seven days. This feature gives users more control over their online browsing experience.
Remarkable User Growth
In terms of user growth, Threads has added 100 million new monthly active users in the last ten months. Meta's latest update in August 2025 showed that Threads had reached 400 million monthly active users. Meta also noted significant increases in Asia, especially in South Korea and Japan, where the time users spend on the app rose by 80% and 130% respectively compared to last year.
