WiCi, a technology company, has unveiled the WiCi One, heralded as the first wireless external graphics card (eGPU) in the world. This innovative device promises to transmit graphics processing power and artificial intelligence (AI) workloads directly via a Wi-Fi network, marking a significant shift from traditional eGPU technologies that rely on high-speed physical connections like OCULink, USB4, or Thunderbolt 5.
Revolutionizing Graphics Processing
Supported by the Nvidia Inception Program, the WiCi One is engineered to distribute computing power across various devices within a local network, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones. This feature addresses a common issue faced by many modern laptops and mobile devices, which often lack the necessary interfaces like OCuLink or advanced Thunderbolt connections needed to connect to conventional eGPUs.
How It Works
Users can seamlessly connect their laptops or mobile devices to the Wi-Fi network emitted by the WiCi One unit to gain immediate access to desktop-class GPU computing. This direct wireless connection not only enhances convenience but also eliminates the need for cumbersome cables.
Support for AI and Content Creation Tools
One of the standout features of the WiCi One is its support for a wide range of popular platforms and tools without requiring any software modifications. It is compatible with applications like Ollama, Hugging Face, Blender, Unreal Engine, CapCut, OBS Studio, and Adobe Premiere Pro, making it a versatile choice for both gamers and content creators.
Performance Variants and Pricing
The WiCi One will be available in two graphics card variants based on Nvidia's RTX 50 Series architecture:
- Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti: Aimed at entry-level users, this variant can run games like Cyberpunk 2077 at approximately 80 fps and Black Myth: Wukong at 60 fps in 4K Ultra settings (with DLSS). For AI workloads, it can process the Large Language Model (LLM) Gemma 4 at a rate of 140 tokens per second and render 4K video exports in CapCut at up to 75 fps.
- Nvidia RTX 5090: This high-end variant can achieve over 110 fps in Cyberpunk 2077 and 90 fps in Black Myth: Wukong at 4K resolution. Its processing capabilities for LLM Gemma 4 surge to more than 500 tokens per second, while it can export 4K H.264 video in Adobe Premiere Pro at 90 fps.
The WiCi One is expected to start shipping to consumers in the fourth quarter of 2026. The early bird price for the RTX 5060 Ti variant is set at USD 2,000 (approximately IDR 30.8 million), with a suggested retail price (MSRP) of USD 2,600 (around IDR 40 million). Pricing details for the RTX 5090 variant will be announced closer to the launch date.
