Xiaomi has officially launched the beta version of its HyperOS 4, making it available for a limited number of devices. This follows the company's announcement in mid-August regarding the new operating system, which features a sleek glass-like interface.
Beta Testing Begins for HyperOS 4
Last week, Xiaomi started its recruitment process for beta testers for HyperOS 4, and the response has been promising. As of now, the first beta build is being rolled out to users who successfully joined the beta program.
Supported Devices for the Beta
Currently, the beta is accessible for three specific devices:
- Xiaomi 17 Ultra
- Xiaomi 17
- Leica Leitzphone by Xiaomi
Users with these devices can check for the update by navigating to Settings > About phone and tapping the version number if they haven't received a notification about the beta update.
Upcoming Expansions in Beta Access
On September 17, the beta program will expand to include owners of additional models, specifically the Xiaomi 17T, 17T Pro, 15, and 15 Ultra. This expansion will allow more users to experience HyperOS 4 before its full release.
Future Plans for HyperOS 4
While the beta version is now rolling out, Xiaomi has yet to provide a timeline for when the stable version of HyperOS 4 will be made available to the public. This leaves many eager users wondering when they will be able to fully utilize the new operating system.
As Xiaomi continues to develop HyperOS 4, it remains to be seen whether more devices will be added to the beta program in the future.
