A new Samsung Galaxy M-series smartphone has made an appearance on Geekbench, revealing some intriguing specifications. The device, identified as the Samsung Galaxy SM-M676K, is believed to be the upcoming Galaxy M67. What sets this model apart is its choice of chipset, which may surprise many.

Exynos 2200 Chipset Details

The Galaxy M67 is powered by the Exynos 2200, a flagship system-on-chip (SoC) that Samsung released back in 2022. This chipset was previously featured in the Galaxy S22 series and later in the Galaxy S23 FE. Notably, it is built on a 4nm process technology, featuring a CPU configuration of 1+3+4 cores that can reach a maximum clock speed of 2.8GHz.

Graphics Performance

One of the standout features of the Exynos 2200 is its Xclipse GPU, which is based on AMD's RDNA2 architecture. This GPU was groundbreaking as it introduced hardware acceleration for ray tracing in mobile devices, significantly enhancing graphics performance for gaming and other graphics-intensive applications.

Benchmark Scores

In terms of performance, the Galaxy M67 achieved a score of 1,589 in the single-core test and an impressive 3,923 in the multi-core test on Geekbench. These scores indicate that the device should handle multitasking and demanding applications with ease. The phone also comes equipped with 8GB of RAM, providing ample memory for smooth operation.

Software and Market Availability

The Galaxy M67 is expected to run on Android 17, likely with Samsung's One UI 8.5 skin on top, offering a user-friendly interface and additional features. Historically, Samsung's M-series has shared many specifications with its A-series, but the M67 could mark a departure from this trend, suggesting it might cater to a different segment of the market.

The M-series phones have enjoyed popularity in India and select Asian markets, and the Galaxy M67 could continue this trend. As we await further details, the anticipation around this device is building.
