LCP 2026 Split 3 Kicks Off on July 25

Following an exciting Mid-Season Invitational, the League of Legends Championship Pacific is set to resume with Split 3 on July 25, 2026. This season marks the culmination of the annual competition, where teams are vying for the prestigious LCP 2026 championship title and a coveted spot at the world-renowned Worlds tournament.

New Competition Format

This year's Split 3 introduces the Swiss Stage format for the first time in the regional competition’s history. This change aims to maintain high stakes and intense competition throughout the season. Each team's performance will significantly impact their journey towards the Finals Weekend in Taipei.

Match Schedule and System

The LCP Split 3 tournament is scheduled from July 25 to August 30, 2026, with matches commencing at 4 PM WIB. The Regular Season will fully adopt the Swiss Stage competition system to determine the standings. In the first round, the top four teams from the previous Knockout Stage will face off against the bottom four teams, leading to exciting matchups such as GZ versus MVK and SHG against TSW.

Playoff Advancement and Elimination

During this phase, teams with identical win-loss records will continue to face each other using a mix of Best-of-Three and Best-of-Five formats. Each team must secure three wins to advance to the main Playoffs. Conversely, teams that accumulate three losses in this league phase will be eliminated from the tournament. The critical matches to determine the final outcomes will employ the Best-of-Five system.

Final Rankings and Championship Points

Once the Swiss Stage concludes, there will be an additional ranking match using the Best-of-Five format to finalize the standings. The top-ranked team will choose their playoff opponent from the options available. Championship Points will be awarded based on performance during the Swiss Stage, with teams achieving a 3-0 record earning 50 points, while records of 3-1 and 3-2 will earn 40 and 30 points respectively.

The top four teams that emerge from the Swiss Stage will compete in the Playoffs, which will follow a Double Elimination format, also using the Best-of-Five matches. The two best teams will be crowned LCP champions and secure direct entry to the Worlds tournament. Additionally, a special ticket to Worlds will be awarded to the team with the highest overall Championship Points.

Ticket Sales and Finals Weekend

Fans eager to witness the action live can purchase tickets to the LCP Arena through the KKTIX online platform or at FamilyMart locations throughout Taiwan. Ticket sales open every Wednesday at 11 AM WIB, one week before each match weekend. Each ticket grants access to an entire day of matches, ensuring fans can enjoy the full competitive experience.

The climax of the season will be the LCP Finals Weekend, scheduled for August 29-30, 2026, at the Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium. This season will also lead into the promotion and relegation qualifiers, known as the LCP Promotion Series, set to take place from November 10-13, 2026.

Championship Points accumulated by Guest Teams throughout the season will determine their obligation to retain their slots. The three Guest Teams with the lowest points will compete against the best teams from the APAC domestic league, divided into two qualification paths: Free-for-All and Regional Merit. Notably, Guest Teams that qualify for Worlds will be exempt from the qualification process.
