The EWC 2025 was a landmark event for the Free Fire scene in Indonesia. All three top positions in the final standings were occupied by Indonesian representatives. The Esports World Cup 2026 Free Fire will span four days and will be divided into three main phases:
- Eight top teams—four from each group—will secure direct spots in the Grand Finals.
- Teams finishing fifth to tenth in each group will have another chance through the Survival Stage to vie for the last four spots in the finals.
The Grand Finals will utilize the Champion Rush format, where teams must meet specific point requirements before they can secure victory by achieving a Booyah.

In addition to competing for the majority of the $1 million prize pool, the EWC 2026 Free Fire champion will automatically qualify for the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals 2026, scheduled for November in Bangkok, Thailand.
To enhance the tournament experience, Garena will host various in-game events, including the EWC 2026 Fantasy event, allowing players to create dream teams based on tournament participants. Points will be awarded based on player performance during the competition.
