For gaming enthusiasts, the new Game Physics workload utilizes the Jolt Physics engine to better gauge performance in gaming contexts. Additionally, the Photo Editor workload now includes a comprehensive range of real-world edits, while the Photo Library workload supports the importing and processing of JPEG XL and DNG image formats.
Refined Multi-Core Testing Methodology
In a significant shift, Geekbench 7 only conducts multi-core tests when the task at hand genuinely engages multiple cores. This strategy is designed to mitigate inflated benchmark scores that may not accurately represent device capabilities. Consequently, the HTML5 browser test has been removed from the multi-core assessment suite.
