Electronic Arts has officially confirmed that EA Sports FC 27 will be launched on September 25, 2026. Pre-orders for the game have been available from July 23, 2026, and will continue until September 24, 2026.
Available Editions of EA Sports FC 27
The game will be released in three different editions: Standard, Ultimate, and Ultimate Plus. The Ultimate and Ultimate Plus editions will provide players with a seven-day early access period and additional in-game content.
Introducing EA Sports FC 27 Lite
Players will also have the opportunity to download EA Sports FC 27 Lite, a limited preview version of the game that can be accessed for free on launch day. This version allows players to experience specific game modes, including Kick-Off, and offers the option to upgrade to the full version at any time.
Platform Availability
EA Sports FC 27 will be available across all major gaming platforms. The Standard and Ultimate editions can be found on the EA App, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and the Epic Games Store. However, the Ultimate Plus edition, which is available for early pre-order from July 23 to August 31, 2026, will not be offered on Nintendo or Epic Games Store.
Exclusive Rewards for Ultimate Editions
Purchasing either the Ultimate Plus or Ultimate Edition grants players their initial points upon entering EA Sports FC 27 for the first time. Additional FC points will be awarded on the 15th of each month thereafter.
Notable Features and Gameplay
A highlight for EA Sports FC 27 is the return of French football star Kylian Mbappe, who will feature prominently on the covers of the Standard and Ultimate editions. Alongside the announcement, Electronic Arts released a trailer showcasing the gameplay of EA Sports FC 27, which introduces a new mode called The Grounds. This mode will present players with three distinct areas to explore, allowing for character customizations under the guidance of mentors like Mbappe, Chloe Kelly, Paulo Dybala, and Alex Hunter.
