Team Vision has made history in the Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 by showcasing a dominant performance throughout the playoffs. They concluded the tournament with a commanding 3-0 victory over Aurora Gaming in the finals.
Major Accomplishments
This triumph not only grants Team Vision the championship title but also comes with a grand prize of $150,000 (approximately Rp2.7 billion, based on an exchange rate of US$1 to Rp18,000) and 1,000 points towards the Club Championship. The TFT EWC 2026 featured the top 16 teams from around the globe, all of which qualified through various regional pathways.
Unique Tournament Format
Unlike the usual individual format, the EWC utilized a 4v4 Squads format, where four players from each team accumulate points based on their match results in every round. Team Vision arrived in Paris with an impressive lineup including Flancy, Koyui, ZhenBai, and MoGG, all of whom are well-known top players in the competitive Chinese scene.
Path to the Finals
Despite having to fight their way up from the lower bracket, Team Vision demonstrated resilience by defeating formidable teams such as Virtus.pro and Flash Wolves. Their performance in the Grand Final was nearly flawless, and Aurora Gaming, who had previously shown solid performance, could not stop Team Vision's dominance, resulting in a decisive 3-0 finish.
Flancy's consistent performance throughout the playoffs earned him the title of Sony Finals MVP, a testament to his skill and dedication. This victory marks a significant milestone for Team Vision, which only established its TFT division in 2026. MoGG, the coach and player, emphasized that the team's success stemmed from their collective effort and hard work.
“We have always believed that our greatest strength is teamwork. Every player executed their roles exceptionally well throughout the tournament. This title boosts our confidence, and we aim to continue improving and maintaining this level of play in future competitions,” he stated.
With this victory, Team Vision replaces Weibo Gaming as the TFT Esports World Cup champion, further solidifying China's dominance in the international Teamfight Tactics competitive landscape.
