Asus Showcases New Innovations at Gamescom 2026
At Gamescom 2026, Asus made headlines by unveiling a series of groundbreaking products under its gaming brand, Republic of Gamers (ROG). This event not only presented the latest in esports technology but also marked the 20th anniversary of ROG, celebrating two decades of gaming innovation.
World's Fastest Esports Monitor
Among the standout offerings was the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace, touted as the fastest esports monitor globally. This 24.5-inch display features a TrueBlack Glossy Tandem WOLED panel that achieves an extraordinary refresh rate of 720Hz and an incredibly low response time of just 0.02ms. The monitor has been officially selected as the esports monitor for the upcoming PGL CS2 Major 2026 tournament and is set to hit the market in early Q4 2026 at a price of $1,099 (approximately Rp 17.2 million).
Innovative Gaming Peripherals
In addition to the monitor, ROG introduced several new gaming peripherals, including the ultra-lightweight ROG Gladius IV Ace mouse, weighing in at just 56 grams. This mouse is equipped with the highly precise ROG AimPoint Pro 65K sensor, SpeedNova 8K Gen II wireless connectivity, and an optical micro switch rated for 100 million clicks. Additionally, the ROG Raikiri II Pro controller was showcased, featuring an 8K polling rate and a drift-free TMR joystick, enhancing the gaming experience even further.
Next-Gen Gaming Router
ROG also made significant strides in networking technology with the introduction of the ROG Rapture GT-BN98, which is claimed to be the world’s first WiFi 8 gaming router. This quad-band router boasts a staggering throughput of up to 25,000 Mbps, incorporating AI Game Boost and dual 10G ports for a seamless, lag-free connection during gaming sessions.
Exclusive Graphics Cards and Charity Auction
For PC builders, ROG announced a collaboration with esports team T1, showcasing the Asus T1 GeForce RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 Ti graphics cards, both featuring a futuristic design and 12GB/8GB GDDR7 OC Edition memory. Additionally, a limited edition Asus TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT Onimusha Special Edition, created in partnership with Capcom, was also revealed.
In celebration of its 20th anniversary, ROG organized a charity auction on eBay for Charity, offering a special ROG 20th Anniversary suitcase signed by Chairman Jonney Shih and CEO Jensen Huang of NVIDIA. All proceeds from this auction will be donated to the SpecialEffect foundation, supporting gamers with disabilities.
