HoYoverse, the global interactive entertainment brand, has officially announced the release of Genshin Impact Version 7.0 titled "The Snowy Land Without Love" set for August 12, 2026. This update marks the first time players will explore Snezhnaya, the seventh and final nation in Teyvat.
Exploring the Frozen Landscape
As players venture into the chilling snow of Snezhnaya, they will have the opportunity to use a newly introduced railway network to navigate the expansive and mysterious frozen terrain. This release promises an engaging Archon Quest that will delve into the complex relationships and tensions among factions in Snezhnaya, featuring two new characters: Odette and Alyosha.
The Unique Features of Snezhnaya
Located at the northernmost point of Teyvat, Snezhnaya is a nation continually shaped by fierce snowstorms and relies on Kresnik energy for warmth. The fast-moving railway will transport players to Snezhnograd, the majestic capital and the stronghold of the Fatui.
New Characters and Gameplay Mechanics
Players will also be equipped with a mysterious device known as the Eye of Graeae, a versatile tool that shields them from the cold, summons trains, and creates Prime Ice Constructs. This device introduces a new third-person shooter gameplay mode featuring three unique firearms.
Version 7.0 also brings forth Stellar Swirl, a second Stellar Glimmer reaction that can be triggered by combining Anemo and Cryo elements to summon a Stellar Vortex. The five-star character Odette joins the roster as a member of the Fatui, a Snezhnaya ballerina who wields a sword and Cryo elements to enhance reactions.
Unlocking New Adventures
Alyosha, a four-star polearm user with Electro abilities, enters the scene accompanied by his dog companion, Tugarin. Players can obtain Alyosha for free by completing the latest Archon Quest.
During the first half of the Event Banner, Odette and Alyosha will appear alongside a rerun of Arlecchino, followed by Flins and Ineffa in the latter half. Completing the Snezhnaya Archon Quest rewards players with up to 560 free Primogems.
Additionally, a variety of limited-time events will be available, including train races, shooting accuracy tests, and challenges in Miliastra Wonderland, providing players with the chance to invite the character Diona for free.
