Team Secret is making significant changes to its VALORANT roster as they gear up for the upcoming VCT Pacific Stage 2. The organization from the Philippines has officially released Rizkie "BerserX" Adla Kusuma and Dwine "Rimuru" Enriquez, leaving them with two vacant slots in their main team lineup.
Roster Changes Prior to VCT Pacific Stage 2
This decision comes just before their first match in Stage 2 against VARREL, with the announcement of new players expected soon. BerserX joined Team Secret after the conclusion of the 2025 competitive season as part of a team rebuild initiative. The new roster initially included players from three different countries.
BerserX's Journey in VALORANT
Before joining Team Secret, BerserX established himself as one of Indonesia's top Duelists with BOOM Esports. He played a crucial role in various prestigious events, such as the VALORANT Champions in Istanbul, multiple Pacific Ascension tournaments, and one season in VCT Pacific 2025. Although he began his professional career with Alter Ego, his reputation soared while being the primary Duelist for BOOM Esports, predominantly using Jett as his agent.
Rimuru's Short Stint with Team Secret
On the other hand, Rimuru's time with Team Secret was relatively brief. He was brought in to replace TenTen after the VCT Pacific Kickoff 2026 but only played in the first three matches of Stage 1. By the fourth week, he lost his position to the newly 18-year-old Jhian "Zeus" Vega and did not appear in any official matches thereafter. Rimuru began his professional journey in 2024 and had previously competed in the Challengers scene with Balbacua before stepping up to the VCT Pacific level.
Challenges Ahead for Team Secret
Team Secret's performance throughout the 2026 season has been disappointing, with only one victory to their name so far. This situation complicates their chances of qualifying for the VALORANT Champions in Shanghai 2026. Facing a group filled with strong teams, Team Secret must significantly improve their game in Stage 2 if they aim to secure a spot at the Champions.
The release of BerserX and Rimuru continues a series of alterations made by Team Secret in recent weeks. Earlier, the organization had also parted ways with other players, indicating a thorough roster overhaul. With two spots still open, fans are eager to see who will fill these gaps before their opening match against VARREL.
