Apple enthusiasts in Indonesia can finally mark their calendars. The preorder for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max is set to kick off on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 09:00 WIB. This announcement was made by iBox, one of Apple's official distributors in the country, via social media.
Excitement Builds for the New iPhone Models
The confirmation of the preorder date has set the stage for the arrival of these flagship devices in the Indonesian market, which is expected to happen shortly after. Earlier rumors had suggested October 7 as the preorder start date, with the official sales launch predicted for October 16, 2026, by Apple enthusiast Bagus Hernawan.
Official Pricing Yet to Be Announced
While the preorder date is confirmed, Apple has yet to reveal the official pricing for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in Indonesia. Speculations about the price have been circulating, with Hernawan providing estimates. However, these prices are not official and could change once the preorder begins.
Regulatory Approvals Secured
The anticipation around the iPhone 18 Pro models has been building since September when the devices were approved by the Indonesian government. Both models received the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certification from the Ministry of Industry, achieving a score of 40%. Shortly after, they also secured the Postel certification from the Ministry of Communication and Digital on September 17, 2026.
Global Launch and Features of iPhone 18 Series
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max were unveiled globally last month, showcasing significant enhancements. Both devices are powered by the A20 Pro chip, which utilizes a 2 nm manufacturing process. They feature an upgraded 48 MP rear camera system and a new internal design. One of the standout features is the variable aperture on the main camera, allowing users to adjust the lens opening from f/1.48 to f/4.0. Additionally, the updated vapor chamber cooling system helps maintain device performance.
With the preorder starting on October 7 at 09:00 WIB, the most anticipated detail now is the official pricing for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max in Indonesia.
