Vivo has officially launched its X500 series globally, following a successful debut in China last month. This exciting lineup includes the X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max, all designed to cater to photography lovers and tech enthusiasts alike.
Impressive Charging and Build Quality
Each model in the X500 series boasts 90W wired and wireless charging capabilities, ensuring that users can quickly power up their devices. Additionally, all three phones come with an IP68/69 rating, making them resistant to dust and water, which is a significant advantage for users on the go.
Camera Features That Stand Out
One of the standout features of the X500 series is its camera system. All models are equipped with a remarkable 50MP selfie camera and advanced video recording capabilities. Users can enjoy auto-framing video capture and dual-camera recording, enhancing their vlogging and photography experiences.
Performance and Display
The X500 Pro Max leads the pack with a MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, complemented by a massive 7,800mAh battery and a stunning 6.85-inch QHD+ 144Hz OLED display. The X500 Pro, while slightly smaller, retains the same chipset but features a 6.36-inch 1.5K 144Hz OLED screen and a 6,510mAh battery.
Comparative Camera Specs
In terms of camera capabilities, both Pro models share the same main shooter, a Sony LYTIA L910 sensor, which is the first of its kind on a Vivo device. This sensor allows for up to 17 stops of dynamic range, although this feature is limited to specific modes. The X500 Pro Max excels with its 200MP periscope camera, while the X500 Pro offers a 64MP alternative.
The standard X500, while less advanced, still provides an impressive setup with a Dimensity 9600M chip, a 7,500mAh battery, and a 6.59-inch 1.5K 144Hz OLED display. Its camera configuration includes a 50MP main shooter, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 64MP telephoto camera, showcasing a strong capability for photography.
Availability and Pricing
The X500 series is set to be available in several countries, including Algeria, Brazil, India, and South Africa, among others. However, it is important to note that the US and UK markets are not included in this launch. The pricing for the X500 Pro starts at approximately €1,399 (~$1,560), while the X500 Pro Max begins at €1,599 (~$1,780). Color options vary across models, with the Pro versions offered in Black, Gray, Orange, and White.
Vivo's X500 series presents an exciting opportunity for consumers looking for high-performance smartphones with exceptional camera capabilities. With a range of features tailored for photography enthusiasts, these devices are poised to make a significant impact in the global market.
