According to these details, the iPhone Ultra is priced at 155,750 Egyptian pounds, which translates to approximately 54 million IDR. However, it’s worth noting that exchange rates can vary significantly due to local taxes, making direct conversions often misleading.
Comparing Prices with Previous Models
In Egypt, the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at 94,400 Egyptian pounds. This means that the iPhone Ultra could be about 65% more expensive than its predecessor. If we consider that the iPhone 17 Pro Max was launched in the US at a starting price of $1,199, applying the same 65% increase would suggest that the iPhone Ultra could retail for around $1,980, or possibly $1,999 when rounded off.
Estimated Prices for Indonesia
In Indonesia, the iPhone 17 Pro Max debuted at a price point starting from 25,749,000 IDR. By following the same calculation method, the anticipated price for the iPhone Ultra in Indonesia is expected to begin around 42 million IDR.
Pricing for iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max
The leaked information also includes the expected prices for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The iPhone 18 Pro is listed at a starting price of 98,000 Egyptian pounds (approximately 34 million IDR), while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at 105,000 Egyptian pounds (around 36 million IDR). Compared to the iPhone 17 series, this indicates roughly a 10% price increase for the Pro and Pro Max versions, as reported by GSM Arena.
Last year's iPhone 17 Pro launched at a price of $1,099. With a 10% increase, the iPhone 18 Pro may start at about $1,200, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max could be around $1,320. This price hike is not entirely surprising, especially considering TrendForce's estimates indicating that the component costs for the iPhone 18 Pro are 40% higher than those of its predecessor.
