Ilham Indrawan, Senior Manager of MX Product Marketing at Samsung Electronics Indonesia, noted that the S FE series has historically served as a gateway for Galaxy A Series users looking to experience flagship capabilities. In fact, nearly 60% of S FE users previously came from the A Series.

The Galaxy S FE series also attracts users from other brands who are curious about Samsung's flagship offerings. This trend first emerged with the release of the Galaxy S20 FE in 2020. For the Galaxy S26 FE, Samsung has highlighted six compelling reasons to consider this device, from its camera capabilities to its advanced chipset and long-term support.
Camera Innovations
One of the standout features of the Galaxy S26 FE is its camera system. Samsung has incorporated various flagship-level software enhancements alongside its hardware. Notable features include My FanCam, which helps users capture the best moments without worrying about framing during recording. Additionally, the device supports Super Steady Video with Horizontal Lock, Photo Assist, and generative features for editing photos and creating videos from images and visual references.
The front-facing camera has also received an upgrade, featuring a wider angle for selfies, catering to the needs of users who frequently engage in content creation.

On the performance front, the Galaxy S26 FE is a significant upgrade, powered by the Exynos 2500 processor, making it the first in the FE series to utilize a 3nm fabrication process. Indrawan emphasized that A Series users seeking high performance will find the Exynos 2500 meets their expectations.
Long-term Software Support and Unique Design
Samsung is also committed to providing long-term support for the Galaxy S26 FE, promising seven years of software and security updates. This device launches with Android 17 and One UI 9, making it the first in the S Series to do so, even before its higher-end counterparts receive this update.
In terms of design, the Galaxy S26 FE shares a visual identity with the Galaxy S26 series, available in vibrant colors such as Blueberry, Pistachio, and Graphite, appealing to a younger audience.
Seamless Transition for New Users
The sixth reason to consider the Galaxy S26 FE is its enhanced Smart Switch feature, which simplifies the transition for users switching from older smartphones or different brands. Users can scan a QR Code displayed on the Galaxy S26 FE with their old device, allowing for a wireless transfer of apps and data without the need for prior installation of Smart Switch.
The pricing for the Galaxy S26 FE starts at Rp 11,999,000 for the 8/128 GB variant, while the 8/256 GB version is priced at Rp 13,999,000, with an 8/512 GB option coming soon. Pre-orders are available until September 10, 2026, requiring a deposit of Rp 100,000 to secure a Rp 500,000 discount. During the launch offer from September 11 to 30, 2026, customers can purchase the 8/128 GB version starting at Rp 9,249,000 and the 8/256 GB model at Rp 11,249,000, subject to terms and conditions.
Indrawan acknowledged that the rising costs of chipsets have influenced smartphone pricing, but Samsung aims to maintain the Galaxy S26 FE's appeal through promotional schemes. “In this economic landscape, finding a flagship smartphone starting at Rp 9 million, with a 3nm chipset and high-quality camera experience, is a remarkable opportunity,” he concluded.
